For a while I've had an idea for a personal essay about why having Facebook and Twitter accounts can be a good thing for writers. I've got a rough idea of what to put on paper having read articles similar to my idea. For instance, many people find facebook and twitter to be a huge waste of time, I used to think that way till I got accounts with both, now I've been able to contact certain people with the click of a mouse whereas...say back in the late 90s, early 2000s I would've had to go through the person's publicist, manager or agent and that might not have gone through. Point is, I've found social networks to be a great tool for building up a list of contacts and promoting my work. I understand Facebook and Twitter have been used for the wrong reasons by other people but there are many who use both social networks to stay in touch with friends, family, promote their businesses, etc... I'm not sure if there's anything else I should include in my essay though. Any suggestions?

All the popular girls in my school do it and it annoys me like h*ll. Like this girl posts a pic of herself every other day and gets comments like oh your so pretty you should be a model blah blah blah and it's obvious she does it for attention because all the pictures are of her and they all the look the sane except she's wearing different clothes of course. It's like screaming " I have nothing etter to do with my life than post pictures of myself on facebook and fish for compliments".And please understand I'm not jealous and if I wanted to I would do the same but I don't take pointless pictures.

Taxes are the hot topic right now, and it seems like a lot of you tend to think the rich aren't paying their fair share. I want to post a rough list of my expenses and how much I make and ask you for your opinion on what would be a fair amount for people in my situation. I'm not looking to boast or troll or anything like that, I just want your opinion. I am a 32 year old single male. I am a Dentist, and own my own practice. I am currently purchasing a 2 bed 2 bath home in Phoenix for $110,000. I have a very good credit score that enables me to get good financing on investment properties, so I currently own 4 houses that I rent out, and use 100% of the proceeds from those to pay off another 3 units I'm in the process of paying off. My practice last year cleared just over $400,000 after expenses, and I pay about $11,000 a month towards my student loans. I fit in the top tax bracket, so my baseline tax rate is 34% before deductions. My actual federal income tax rate is about 30% of what I make, and I pay about 12% self employment tax. My state income tax rate is about 7%, and I pay about $10,000 a year in property taxes. So bottom line: $400,000 grossed - $120,000 federal income tax - $30,000 state income tax - $50,000 self employment taxes - $10,000 property taxes = $190,000 From that $190,000 I pay $140,000 a year towards my student loans leaving me with hopefully $50,000 this year. In your opinion, how much should I be paying?

Aight so I use to be portfoward but for some reason it says im not portfowarded anymore when i got to canyouseeme.org Im not too sure what to do or what the problem is it just started a few days ago. My Fiance happens to have the same birthday as his 2 twin older sisters. Every year since he was 13 his birthday has ALWAYS been overshadowed and made insignificant compared to his older sisters. The 3 of them have their birthdays in February and the last birthday he got was for his 13th birthday..... In November! So I thought this year, I would make sure that nothing takes away from the fact that it's HIS birthday! And his 18th aswell!! Okay, I'm just going to ask because it's driving me crazy and it's haunting me. Here's what happened. The love of my life and I broke up after a pretty explosive argument earlier this year. During the break, I hung out with someone, they kissed me, and I stopped it and then ended it. Nothing else happened. I stopped it because 1) it felt like cheating 2) it made my skin crawl and I wanted to throw up. But it was still wrong and it was my fault because I was being stupid and upset and blahblahblah. My love and I got together a week later and I told him everything because I thought it was the right thing to do. I never screwed up again, got rid of them- but it won't go away. hes 23 and I'm 24 and we have been dating for 5 months. whenever i disagree with him on anything, he uses the silent treatment. they other day he contacted me after 2 days of silence and he asked me if i had made an online dating profile on the website "plentyoffish.com" that is where we met. he said he was searching on there to see if i had a new profile since he'd been ignoring me...which i did not. he found one of my friends on there and jokingly said "i should message her" but he had told me he was just searching for me....which you can do without a profile.... I asked "how can you message her unless you have a profile set up?" he said "oh yea, you're right i guess i can't" 2 more days went by with the silent treatment. he called me this evening and asked if i wanted to come over and i said that i didn't and i ended the call and i haven't heard from him since. i imagine that the silent treatment will continue.
